Results Timetable Deployment
Purpose
RTD is a results-driven project management system developed by StickEApps.com. RTD focuses on outcomes versus processes. This method provides more rapid feedback, identifies potential problems earlier, and allows flexibility in achieving goals.
Methodology
1. Results Identification—The first step is to create the list of desired results for the project. The results list includes descriptions, measurement metrics, completion timeframes, and priority levels for each result.
2. Timetable and Interdependency Development—Once the results list is created, timetables or milestones are created for each result. As with the results list, the timetables include descriptions, metrics, timeframes, and priority levels. Once all timetables are established, they are reviewed for interdependencies and modified to eliminate any conflicts.
3. Deployment of Resources—Resources are allocated to the timetables based on priority, timeframe, and interdependency. The team assigned to a task knows exactly what they are to achieve and when it is to be completed. Teams are given as much flexibility as possible as to how the result will be achieved.
4. Monitoring and Management—Regular reviews of each team's progress are made to ensure that timetables will be met. Resources are re-deployed to higher priority items, as needed, to ensure timetables are met.
